For a New Day
(Written December, 2020 - based on Psalm 118:1-29)
First Stanza:
Let me say, “Help me to start the day!”
when I feel all alone, with the whole world to fight;
when all I can think about are bad things I’ve done –
Though the brutal honesty makes me want to hide!
Forgot the Ways of God
(Written November 2020 - based on Zephaniah 3:14-20)
First Stanza
When Jerusalem forgot the ways of God
she was broken, in conflict and highly vulnerable;
the city, all her people, had let God down –
not one went willingly against the trend.
Outside and In, I am Known Completely
(Written November, 2020 - based on Psalm 139)
