Outside, Lord, you know me completely!

Where I am;
What I am doing;
The words I speak;
The signs of my body language;
When I rest and when I’m busy.
Even when I try to hide, you are aware,
and right by my side,
in every action and every deed.

Inside, Lord, you know me completely!

My thoughts – good and bad;
My delights and disappointments;
My deepest desires and strongest fears;
My pride at successes and guilt of misdeeds.
Even when I think I think I can manage alone,
you are nurturing me, guiding me,
and right by my side,
in every thought and every feeling.

Outside and In, Lord, you know me completely!

I will try not to hide, but to embrace your presence
not to reject, but accept your love and guidance;
not to rebel but be guided in action, word and thought;
not to hate those around me, but to share that love you offer.

For you Lord, and only you,
know me completely, Outside and In!
